jQuery Observe

Observe is a jQuery plugin designed to provide callbacks on changes in forms.

Installation

To install copy thejavascripts directory into your project and add the following snippet to the header:

<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.1/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="javascript/jquery-observer.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

This plugin is also registered under http://bower.io/ to simplify integration. Try:

    npm install -g bower
    bower install observe

Examples

Setting up an observer is easy. The following snippet is a good start:

  <input type="text" name="search" />
</form>

<script type="text/javascript">
  $('#search').observe(function () { alert("observer"); });
</script>
