awesome-discord's Issues

[Discussion] - About the roadmap.

This thread is related to the RoadMap, please consult it before participating.

# Add legend of images.

I'm not sure to understand this one, could you clarify please?

# Add servers list.

This was rejected in #17 & #15, therefore should be moved to a different list.

# Add more official links.

I can include more official links, if you want me to do so but I believe the current amount is correct. To be discussed.

# Create "Back To Top" buttons.

This was added in #19, therefore should be moved to the "Done" list.

Discussion โ€” Should the "Popular Servers" category stay?

Hey there, while browsing a few of the ressources linked inside the repository, I asked myself: "Do we really need a popular servers category?". Of course, that's a pretty random thought but I decided to explore it a little further so I will drop my ideas and concerns bellow:

  1. It's currently only a bunch of reddit-communities servers; making it kinda restricted.
  2. There are so many popular servers if we consider "popular" as 5k+ online users that we would need a dedicated repository.
  3. Discord servers are not specifically great resources. On the same thought, some will say that bots should be removed as your tastes might not fit someone's else; but bots can be added to other servers - making them a kind of resources.

I'll conclude this by saying that having the current "Server Lists" category should cover any user's need if they are looking for servers. What are your thoughts and opinions?

Adjust README to support servers that are popular but not endorsed by Discord

Hello,

I'd like to know what is this repo's stance on officially endorsed but unofficial servers: Discord API and Discord Linux. And how do you want to show them here.

Unofficial officially endorsed server 101 just in case: The server is not run by Discord but it's acknowledged as an useful resource and often referred also by Discord staff. For example, DFeedback has "useful resource" links to, and only to, DAPI and DLinux.

Currently, DAPI is listed in official servers but DLinux is not listed at all. Should these both be listed as an own category below official server, titled as endorsed servers? Or right after official servers with an "unofficial" note? It'd feels too harsh to drop them under Community Resources.

This is a dummy issue.

This issue should be deleted soon. It is only a test for the upcoming server.

Client mods list are outdated

The Client mods list on readme are pretty old compared to what is currently updated nowadays:

Missing

  • Vencord: The cutest Discord client mod
  • Replugged: Enhance your Discord experience with new features and looks. Replugged makes your Discord truly yours.
  • Vendetta: A mod for Discord's mobile apps.
  • Enmity: The power of addons, all in your hand.
  • Shelter: an attempt to prepare for the worst

Should be removed

  • Powercord: no longer maintained due to it being EOL as of 2022, Replugged is the new powercord.
  • Bluecord: Nothing but apparently seems to be infamous for being malware (yes this is actually a link to a couple of screenshots of Bluecord's dev doing various malicious stuff)

Should be edited

  • Betterdiscord: uses an outdated link, betterdiscord.app is the actual link
