I would like to have the battery status displayed on the screen. One possible
place to add it is within the first menu (AUTO/NORM/etc) Have an option that
says BATT and will display the current battery level.
There are a few ways to display this info. One possible way is that when BATT
is selected by hitting OK, it will display the percentage for a few seconds and
then go back to the last selection. This gives an easy way to check the status
and keep working if it's ok.
If the battery is charging, how about changing the GREEN cursor to RED or
something similar. I would also like to see a way for the device to show when
charging is complete.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
DSO App 2.5
Please provide any additional information below.
I'm new to the project so I'm not sure of any limitations. I'm probably asking
a lot but anything is appreciated.

I just received DSO nano v3 and installed the firmware from the link at
http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/dso-nano-v3-p-1358.html (DSO Nano V# Firmware
4-11.hex). Upon restart the screen is black and white and inverted. The
product worked fine before the firmware upgrade (maybe upgrade was not
necessary but didn't think it could hurt). Any suggestions??
I have attached a photo of the screen on startup

2. I run DfuSe demonstration.
3. Windows XP pops up saying "DfuSE Demo has encountered a problem and needs to
close."
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The program to run...

Wouldn't it be possible, and relatively simple to implement a simple high-pass
digital filter (say, an IIR or a FIR digital filter) to add an AC mode to the
oscilloscope (to filter out the DC level)?
That possibility must have been considered before, but what stood in the way of
implementing it? I can't seem to compile and upload the code (all the guides
for that are offline on the wiki) but I can try to help with the filter design
if needed.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. i tried to c the ripple voltage, but could c it...
2. i looked at this website: http://code.google.com/p/dsonano/
3. i couldnt find a howto that explains how i can get the data to my linux box
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
on a self made switched-mode power supply i would like to c the ripple
voltage...
therefore i connected the black clip to ground (0V) and the white to the output
voltage (5.8V)... then i saw a flat line (+/- 1 pixel)... i couldnt zoom in (i
mean: ypos stopped at line 0 and there is no way to use a factor), although the
voltage has a 12bit resolution, doesnt it?
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
i bought it at 2011-04-21...
Please provide any additional information below.
1.
dsonano is cute... and it is my first oscilloscope with more than
10kSamples/sec... :-)
2.
can i download the data to my linux box, where i could analyse it then?
3.
or should i use a stabilized 5.5V reference voltage instead of 0V?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. When trying to upgrade APP and LIB
2.
3.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Power up holding down button screen says "copy hex or bin file to DFU virtual
disk (just like the quad), I copy the new files APP and LIB and the nano shows
files as RDY, all ok so far, turn nano off and on and it still has previous
APP running. This nano was supplied with LIB 2.26, APP 2.60, after contacting
my supplier LIB 2.25 and APP 2.60 were e-mailed to me from guojun Ding, the
nano accepted this LIB file and APP file so I now have LIB 2.25 APP 2.60, so
this method appears to work for these files but I cannot change to benf APP
3.64 with LIB 3.53
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Nano with the square button for up,down, left, right selection, e-design device firmware upgrade V3.20A, LIB ver 2.25, APP ver 2.60
Please provide any additional information below.
When turned on with down button DFU demo can't find nano but it appears in
windows explorer as DFU V3_11_A and the new hex files can be copied to this and
it behaves as the quad scope, marks the files as RDY but when turned off and on
returns to the existing APP (2.60)

Best way to describe this defect is via an example:
Let's say I have a signal that is 50mV peak-to-peak has a 2.5V offset.
To see the signal up close I want to set the scope to 10mV/Div and offset that
2.5v. The current sw version does not allow me do to that simple task!
