Image Processing for Document Automation

This project is designed to perform ID card detection and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) on test images.

Prerequisites

Before running the project, make sure you have the following installed:

  • Python 3.x
  • OpenCV
  • Tesseract OCR

How to run the project

  1. Insert the test images inside "TestingPipeline/test_image_dir"
  2. Run id_card_detection.py file

Result

Result will be stored inside ocr folder in ocr_output.json file.

Training Prerequisites

To perform training, keep the classification training dataset inside "classification/1_classification" folder, segmentation training dataset inside "segmentation" folder, cleaning training dataset inside "cleaning" folder.
