DevCompass (CodeExplorers)

DevCompass Logo

Welcome to DevCompass (CodeExplorers)!

Introduction

DevCompass, also known as CodeExplorers, is an open-source project aimed at helping beginners with little to no prior programming knowledge to explore the world of coding and gain a sense of what they can achieve through programming. The platform provides curated roadmaps for various domains within the field of programming, guiding newcomers on their learning journey and outlining the essential skills they need to acquire.

Project Goals

The main objectives of DevCompass (CodeExplorers) are as follows:

  1. Empower Beginners: Create a welcoming environment for beginners in programming, regardless of their age, background, or prior knowledge. Encourage and motivate them to explore the vast possibilities that programming offers.

  2. Learning Roadmaps: Offer well-structured and curated roadmaps for different domains in programming, including but not limited to web development, data science, mobile app development, and more.

  3. Skills Assessment: Provide an easy-to-understand assessment of the skills required for each domain, enabling learners to gauge their progress and focus on areas that need improvement.

  4. Community Engagement: Foster a supportive and inclusive community of learners where they can interact, ask questions, seek guidance, and share their experiences.

How to Get Started

If you're excited to embark on your coding journey with DevCompass (CodeExplorers), follow these steps:

  1. Explore Roadmaps: Visit our website (https://www.devcompass.com or https://www.codeexplorers.org) to explore the available roadmaps. Each roadmap will outline the skills and technologies associated with the domain.

  2. Choose Your Path: Select a domain that interests you the most or aligns with your career goals. Don't worry if you're unsure; you can always switch between roadmaps.

  3. Learning Resources: For each milestone in the roadmap, we provide recommended learning resources, including tutorials, articles, videos, and interactive platforms.

  4. Connect with the Community: Join our Discord/Forum (links available on the website) to engage with other learners, seek guidance from experienced developers, and participate in coding challenges.

  5. Contribute: DevCompass (CodeExplorers) is an open-source project, and we welcome contributions from the community. If you have suggestions, improvements, or new roadmaps to add, check out our Contribution Guidelines.

Roadmap Domains

The following domains are currently available, and we aim to expand this list based on community feedback:

  • Web Development (Frontend and Backend)

Community and Support

We believe that learning is best achieved through a supportive community. Connect with us through the following channels:
