adwaita-tweaks's Issues

Unreadable file size after selection

There is no additional background (like in original adwaita) after file selection in bottom right corner. There is only black text on black text

This theme is awesome

I run Cinnamon 5.8 on Fedora 38 and this theme is exactly what I need. You see GIMP 2.99 has an issue where the default Mint-Y theme and many other themes display inaccuracy with its sliders. This theme and a handful of others themes don't suffer from that problem but unlike all the other themes this one is most ergonomic towards screen space as the window bar is the smallest. Default Adwaita and SkeuOS ar egood but this theme best.

Its hard to believe this theme still works just fine despite not being updated in 7 years.

dark search with FF

Hi, with the "dark" version and with FiireFox I got dark search field.
I'm on Ubuntu 16.04 with Gnome 3.20.

Background picture

Could you tell me where I can find the background picture of the screenshots for download (and where it was taken)? Many thanks.

Printer Details window in GNOME Settings missing header bar

In GNOME Shell > Activities Overview > Settings > Hardware section > Printers > Gear Icon beside a listed printer > Printer Details: there is no header bar. This makes closing the window somewhat difficult, since the Close button is missing from the nonexistent header bar.

Please consider reducing widget heights

Please consider reducing the size of generic buttons and the height of menu bars, combo (drop-down) boxes, and tab headers. The Adwaita heights don't go well with the Adwaita Tweaks title bar height, especially since CSD header bar buttons in Adwaita Tweaks (such as the path bar and top-right buttons in Nautilus) are already shorter than the former. Please see the attached screenshots

Openbox

Hello sir, first let me say thank you for what you did with adwaita. Genuinely a requirement for me as the base adwaita has colour issues with atom text editor (my preferred)
I am wondering if you have any interest including an openbox-3 theme.
I've written a fair bit of openbox themes and have a couple I've tweaked over time for the adwaita variants.

Would be awesome if you took a look at them and we could work something out.
I can make a pull request and will post a few photos here shortly, if that better suits you

Thanks for your time,
Nathaniel

Gradients

Hello guys, I'm a fan of the gradient title bar and I've personally used it for a while. However, the point of the theme was to resemble the original Adwaita as much as possible, which is why I have not commited the change to Github. Before starting to work on the metacity theme for Cinnamon and MATE, I'd like to hear your opinions on the gradient title bar.

Tweak to Nautilus file list colors

Hi,
Can you give me a clue if it is possible for me to add a tweak to your tweaks to change the color in the Nautilus file list. Right now there is a grey horizontal line line between each file. I want to change that color so it is the same as the background (making it invisible).

Any suggestion or clue would be great.
Thanks!!
Mark

Create Releases

Thanks for your great work! For packagers, it would be easiest if you could create some releases for easy versioning in the OS.

Installation problems

Nice job on this theme!

I tried following the installation instructions. I didn't have a hidden themes folder in my home directory so I created one and cloned the normal and dark versions of this theme into the new ~/.themes/ folder then went into System Settings | Appearance and the new themes don't show up.

I ran locate themes from the terminal and see some themes in /usr/share/themes/. Should I move the adwaita-tweaks theme folders there?

Desktop font color

When desktop icons are enabled font color is black and completely unreadable.

LibreOffice Styles tabs and toggle switches in header bars

This must be getting rather frustrating, but the tab headers in the LibreOffice Style selector appear to have empty space between them, and if a toggle switch appears in a header bar, its On position looks faded/disabled. Screenshots attached.
