dwm-patches's Issues

Single tagset fails to display multiple tags

Hello, just wanted to inform you that with the latest version of the single-tagset patch, only one tag can be seen on a screen at a time.
After a bit of investigation, it seems to be just a bad copy paste in your last update.

This is the function toggleview, extracted from the patch:

Systray & alpha patch don't work nicely together

Hi there,

I don't know if this is the right place, but for the life of me I can't get alpha, noborder & your systray patch to work nicely together. Alpha + noborder / Systray + noborder works fine.

After manually patching can get dwm to compile. It's just that on starting dwm xerror throws fatal error: request code=70, error code=8X. Have the same issue with 6.1 and 6.2 using a variety of systray patch versions.

Ths the manual patch I use for 6.2:

I use the above manual systray patch after alpha & noborder patch to get dwm to compile. I really don't know anything about X, so I'm having trouble debugging the issue, it's probably something trivial. Would appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction :-)

Use of wrong value in getatomprop in systray.patch

When calling XGetWindowProperty &dl is passed twice, once for nitems_return, and another time for bytes_after_return. So when dl is later referenced as if it contained nitems_return, it will probably contain bytes_after_return.

+ if (XGetWindowProperty(dpy, c->win, prop, 0L, sizeof atom, False, req,
&da, &di, &dl, &dl, &p) == Success && p) {
atom = *(Atom *)p;
+ if (da == xatom[XembedInfo] && dl == 2)
+ atom = ((Atom *)p)[1];
XFree(p);
