STRyper

A macOS application for microsatellite genotyping.

STRyper allows you to import and organise FSA/HID files generated by fragment analysis of capillary sequencers. It lets you define size standards, marker and bins for genotyping. See https://doi.org/10.32942/X2X01C.

Requirements

STRyper requires a Mac running macOS 10.13 or higher, as this OS is the development target. However, recent versions have only been tested on macOS 13 and 14.

Installation

Download the latest release, unzip the file an put STRyper.app anywhere you like on your Mac.

Installation from source

This is only for Xcode users. Clone the repository and open the project in Xcode. You may then build the application from Xcode.

stryper's Issues

Two-finger swiping between markers doesn't work properly.

Describe the bug
Swiping between markers doesn't work properly on certain Macs.

To Reproduce
Show a channel with at least one marker on the detailed view.
perform the two-finger horizontal swipe on the top ruler.

Expected behaviour
The view should move to the next/previous marker.

Actual behaviour
The view continues scrolling past the marker (scrolling is jerky). Probably because it passes inertial scroll wheel events to the next responder while they should be ignored.
