rationale

I wanted a very-bare-bones IRC bot framework that deals with most of the concerns one would deal with in scheduling and awaiting async stuff, e.g. creating and awaiting a new task for each server while dynamically being able to add/remove servers.

sending lines is not fast enough under extremely high load

Requirements.txt problems

• Don't pin specific versions, it makes packaging very hard.
• Dataclasses is built-in from Python 3.7 and therefore needs to be conditional
  dataclasses; python_version < "3.7"
• anyio has reached version 2.0, may be a breaking change, the tests don't go there

support client TLS certificates

this will probably be done by including a path to cert/key/both in ConnectionParams. ties in to properly supporting SASL EXTERNAL.

faked echo-message from another thread does not trigger read loop

reconnects on QUIT

there appears to be no way to exit cleanly, since ircrobots will always try to reconnect
