@kevin-mitchell, thanks for creating this detailed issue! I think you're correct. Fixing that line to use CACHE_BUCKET_KEY_PREFIX instead of NEXTJS_CACHE_DIR should fix the issue.

Great. I opened a PR, removed the no-longer needed NEXTJS_CACHE_DIR and am just using CACHE_BUCKET_KEY_PREFIX in it's place.

I think NEXTJS_CACHE_DIR is needed because that's the directory that open-next writes to in .open-next build output folder. But you're correct in replacing NEXTJS_CACHE_DIR with CACHE_BUCKET_KEY_PREFIX within the .open-next/cache directory.
