I added support for formatters and released it with 0.10.0
. It supports the same options syntax as the CSS Lint plugin.
As to your other question, it is something worth looking into, whether it is possible to just call into those plugins directly.

Found one small issue and pushed another release so if you give this a try please make sure to grab at least version 0.11.0
