Blows up on my DB

I'm not exactly sure what the problem is here, but this is what it looks like. I think it doesn't like my DB or something.

log level option has no effect

--log or --level (as it is called in the readme) don't seem to have any effect.
I'd like to only see WARN and above.
Unfortunately I couldn't find the place in the code to fix it.

I hate to be a pest but could you please add a brief readme for n00bs like myself?
This will help us understand how to start using this and what can we do with it etc.
