Kodi 19 - Marix

Sorry to be a pain, I’m using Kodi Matrix with a Media Center IR receiver and remote. I have three of these in constant use and several more spare (been using them since 2003 with XP Media Centre Edition, then Media Portal).
For various reasons want to now get serious with Kodi, but the better half is seriously (and rightly) complaining that we can longer use the 'i' button to access the context menu to delete Recorded TV or set TV Episodes to Watch/Unwatched.

Apparently it is lines that say 'WindowsError, e' that are no longer recognised by Python 3. Might as well be Chinese to me, but I can post you a log if you are happy to help.

Focus Kodi?

Is there some way that I can assign a key to bring Kodi in Focus?

I am using Kodi in a room far away from my computer where Kodi is installed. Sometimes a message or something pops up on this computer and Kodi is no longer in focus. The remote therefore stops working until I run up to my computer to bring Kodi in focus again.

p.s. With OpenPHT I used LM Remote Key map to bring OpenPHT in focus. However, I can not use this program with Kodi as some keys interfere.

Update for XBMC 13?

Any chance you could update this for XBMC 13 and submit it to the add-on repository?
