gameshell-setup

This repo contains an installer script to enhance a freshly installed Gameshell.

Tested on Clockwork OS 0.4 with FBTURBO drivers and a 256GB SanDisk SD card.

The installer can:

• Resize the root filesystem to fill the entire SD card
• Install some common bash aliases
• Install tools and an alias for taking screenshots via SSH
• Extend the bash prompt so it shows the current git branch
• Update Launcher and LauncherGo to the latest version
• Update retroarch to the latest version
• Install Prince of Persia and Rick Dangerous using the installers of @sbielmann

All these steps are optional and have to be confirmed, so re-running the script and choosing different options is possible

Usage

1. SSH into your Gameshell
2. Run bash <(curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jigglycrumb/gameshell-setup/master/run.sh)

After finishing, either use a new SSH session or run source ~/.bash_aliases to load the new aliases.

gameshell-setup's Issues

Is this still useful/updated for Clockwork OS 0.5?

I just got a GameShell, and I used your resize root script, I was wondering if the other stuff here still worked or was necessary on 0.5.

After script completes, RetroArch opens a TTY console window

I ran your script and everything went fine - it completed correctly. Afterwards, however, opening the RetroArch icon on the launcher doesn't invoke RetroArch. Rather, it takes you to a new Linux console window. I see:

Can I use it in deot os GameShell?

I use deot v1 OS on original GameShell and 32GB SD card
After finished runing

bash <(curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/hpcodecraft/gameshell-setup/master/run.sh)

It's ok.
but when I run

source ~/.bash_aliases

showed

-bash: /home/cpi/.bash_aliases: No such file or directory

and my storage still 16GB, not 32GB

retroarch wont load properly
