What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Need to make games selection screen big with biger font so we can see
the games list better.
Make a scroll bar for faster finding of games.
Add a location option so I don't have to keep changing the source file to
ponit to usb:/Genesis Roms/.
Get rid of the return to homebrew channel button as most forwarders crash
when used (are option to get rid of it like nes emulator).
Make it only load zip or sms files as this thing will try to load any
file.
Make game list the first thing you see, with option button and home
button.
Set location as usb or sd or dvd in options so it knows where to load from.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Get a Sonic 3 ROM and Mega Drive/Genesis BIOS file
2. Start Sonic 3 (Alone)

I know this sounds crazy given that the emulator already supports a lot of
controllers(wiimotes, classic controls and gamecube controls), but is it
possible to add support for this in Genesis Plus? The reason for why I ask

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Get the necessary files to enable Sonic and Knuckles Lock-On.
2. Play Sonic 3, start any file so it saves.
3. Enable Lock-On emulation with the same Sonic 3 ROM, the save file is not
present and starting a save file overwrites the Sonic 3 SRAM
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

up where you left off. Instead, they are just deleted/overwritten.

I'm using the most recent version of Genplus-gx (which I obtained from
here), loaded from HBC version 1.01, with Wii system menu 3.4, if that
matters. I'm running genplus-gx from a 2GB kingston SD card.
The first time I load up Genplus-gx after I have placed the roms on the
SDcard, it loads the first game just fine. I can play all I like. However,
when I try to load a new game, it refuses. Sometimes, I get a black screen.
Sometimes, it's a different solid color, like orange. Sometimes, it says
unable to load file.
If, at this point, I exit back to the homebrew channel and reload Genplus,
I'm then able to load that game, even though I wasn't before. If I try to
load a new game, however, even one that genplus had played in the past, the
same thing happens again.
If I persist in trying to load a new game over and over again, or even a
different one each time, eventually genplus will stop recognizing that
there are any roms in the directory, or even that the directory exists at
all! At this point nothing helps, and the only way I can get genplus-gx to
"see" the roms again is to completely delete my /genplus/roms/ directory,
re-create it, and copy the files back over.
I haven't been able to find any other mention of this issue ANYWHERE, so
I'm hoping it's something simple that I'm just missing.

Make a version intended to install as a WAD file.
Wadder makes this possible without infringing copyrights afaik.

Why:
Problem loading roms from USB storage, and core dump on exit.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
So, I'm not sure if this is a bug, so I'll ask
here. What I'm talking about is, why is it that when
ever you access the menu (during and after a ROM load)
the screen flickers for a couple of seconds and tells
me over and over what mode it's(TV/emu)in? From what I can
see, it seems to be telling me the video the emulator
detected. What I'm afraid of is this is either going to
A - give me a headache or B - somehow ruin the TV (from
switching to the menu mode from game mode). So, is there
any way to force the emulator to not flicker and stay
in one mode/prevent this from happening? Sounds like
it may be a normal emulator function but, I could be wrong.

Not being the kind of person to sit on my ass and whine (at least, not
anymore), I decided to find out why it didn't work. Turns out genplus-gx's
ogg-related code wasn't updated for the newer version of libtremor. I spent
some time diffing the code between this and vba-wii, which revealed the
culprit code. Attached is a diff that can be applied to r355 that causes it
to compile without error, although I haven't tested it yet. Since it's also
only slightly better than a copy-and-paste from vba-wii, there's possible
issues dealing with threading that would need to be ironed out before
inclusion, if the patch even works.
The code taken from vba-wii's oggplayer.c has the same license as
genplus-gx's, with two additional lines in the header:
Proper (standard) vorbis usage by Tantric, 2009
Threading modifications/corrections by Tantric, 2009
Additionally, the single changed line in gx_audio.c comes from
gui_sound.cpp from vba-wii, which has this near the top:
* Tantric 2009
Hopefully this will be useful to anyone else, including the maintainer(s)
of genplus_gx.

Using the GameCube controller, when you scroll the ROM list with Up/Down on
the D-Pad, you can hold it and it quickly scrolls through the list.
However, when using the L/R triggers to scroll by page, holding them down
has no effect, which can make quickly scrolling through ROMs more
inconvenient that it has to be.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Play any Genesis game, but let's use Sonic 3 and Knuckles as an example

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
In certain places of games, there are some video and audio glitches I've
encountered. More specifically, in the example of Sonic 3 and Knuckles,
there are moments when graphics will glitch onto the screen and audio will
slow down.
To see a really good example of this, play through Carnival Night Zone in
Sonic 3 and Knuckles. In the part of Act 2 where the lights go off, it's
easy to notice that every so often, graphics featuring the "underwater"
tiles will flash onto the screen. This seems to happen regardless of what
speed you're going at; I can't find anything in particular that triggers it.
While playing any level, the background music will sometimes lag for a
second or two. Like with the graphical glitches, I don't think there's
anything in particular that triggers it, but if I had to say, it seems to
occur more often when there's lots of things going on, on the screen
itself. More notably, the SEGA screen and title music at the beggining of
the game will sometimes sound pretty glitchy. It doesn't always happen and
can go away when you restart the emulator...
What version of the emulator are you using?
Latest revision, r355
Please provide any additional information below (video settings, console
region,...)
Settings are;
VIDEO:
Display: ORIGINAL
TV Mode: 60HZ
Bilinear Filter: ON
NTSC Filter: OFF/S-VIDEO (depends on the game, for S3K I've switched
between the two to see if the glitches are affected- doesn't seem like it)
Borders: ON
Aspect: ORIGINAL (4:3)
SOUND:
High-Quality FM: ON
PSG Noise Boost: OFF
PSG Volume: 1.00
FM Volume: 0.50
Filtering: LOW PASS
Low-Pass Rate: 50 %
I played the same game on actual hardware (Genesis 2 model) and none of
these things seemed to happen to me. I was using the same TV to test the
game in both cases.
These glitches are nothing horrifically game-breaking, but I feel they are
notable because once you notice them the first time, they become more
apparent with subsequent playing.
Is it possible that these settings I'm using are causing these things to
appear? Do you recommend a better set-up? I tried to keep them close to the
default values.
