Installation

Maven Central

Releases

The current stable release is 0.4.1, available on Maven Central. Add the following dependency to your project's pom.xml:

      <groupId>io.nats</groupId>

      <version>0.4.1</version>
    </dependency>
  </dependencies>

Snapshots

Snapshots are regularly uploaded to the Sonatype OSSRH (OSS Repository Hosting) using the same Maven coordinates. Add the following dependency to your project's pom.xml.

  <dependencies>
    ...
    <dependency>
      <groupId>io.nats</groupId>
      <artifactId>jnats</artifactId>
      <version>0.5.0-SNAPSHOT</version>
    </dependency>
  </dependencies>

If you don't already have your pom.xml configured for using Maven snapshots, you'll also need to add the following repository to your pom.xml.

        <id>sonatype-snapshots</id>
        <url>https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/snapshots</url>
        <snapshots>
            <enabled>true</enabled>

Building from source code (this repository)

First, download the source code:

git clone [email protected]:nats-io/jnats.git .

To build the library, use maven. From the root directory of the project:

mvn package verify

The jar file will be built in the target directory. Then copy the jar file to your classpath and you're all set.

NOTE: running the unit tests requires that gnatsd be installed on your system and available in your executable search path.

Basic Usage

TLS

TLS/SSL connections may be configured through the use of an SSLContext.

Wildcard Subscriptions

// "*" matches any token, at any level of the subject.

// ">" matches any length of the tail of a subject, and can only be the last token
// E.g. 'foo.>' will match 'foo.bar', 'foo.bar.baz', 'foo.foo.bar.bax.22'

Queue Groups

// All subscriptions with the same queue name will form a queue group.
// Each message will be delivered to only one subscriber per queue group,
// using queuing semantics. You can have as many queue groups as you wish.
// Normal subscribers will continue to work as expected.

Advanced Usage
