All DHS surveys get mentionned twice in the table.
Mentionned by the colleagues from AFD/EVA. Would facilitate the identification of what is missing.
Display scripts (e.g R, stata, or anything else) to the corresponding indicator/target, which were already used in project evaluations. Create a new row for them in the longtable.
For now, surveys are mentioned as a global entity, e.g. for MICS or DHS, we include the covered countries and the date when these surveys started at global level. It would be useful to know precisely, say for which years a MICS survey is available for Mali.
This could be done by web scrapping the corresponding pages (http://mics.unicef.org/surveys, http://mics.unicef.org/surveys), and possibly others (IHSN, LSMS, world bank microdata catalog). A few of them have APIs, but it is only a minority.
The script would be more for back-office maintenance for the app developers/admins, as it will need to be handled carefully. It will not be accessible to the user through the shiny interface.
It doesn't matter how the slider changes, the table won't be filtered according to the selected range. All records are displayed.
Other type of survey that is managed by MICRO international/USAID (same team as DHS): include a subset of DHS indicators and are listed on DHS website + IHSN catalog.
It would be absolutely fantastic to have visually interactive worldmaps where all the filter operations are applied and a click on a Country shows a list of available indicators. See here for Inspiration: http://rstudio.github.io/leaflet/
Connect more surveys from IHSN to tb_sdg2 in order to get exact date of each single data collection.
The shiny app script is automatically fetched from github, so when code gets updated there, updates get automatically included on the web.
Indicators, which are only available for certain continents are displayed for all countries, globally. e.g. land cover classification CGLS or CORINE.
Benin 2018 DHS is listed at DHS website and the data is available (idem for Mali 2018, Indonesia 2017...). However, it is not listed on IHSN website. I could manually add Benin 2018 DHS by filling the Google form, but then it would get duplicated when it gets included in IHSN listing.
Named as "Enquête Mortalité, Morbidité et Utilisation des Services 2016-2017" on IHSN.
