I originally considered this script so simple it didn't need unit tests. BUT there has been some request for unit tests so people can feel comfortable that script works at a glance.

Sure, why not.

I believe the biggest change that will need to be made here is that the script should be broken up into smaller, more testable, functions. It's certainly not hard to do.

Test Installation Procedure - for PyPI

Test the installation of exif_delete against the PyPI test process. Make sure everything is working as intended.

Find small photo with EXIF data

To support unit testing, this project will need at least one file with lots of EXIF data to test against.

Ideally, the photo will be very small. And it will have to be creative commons.

Test Installation - Console script

I would like this script to be installable such that it is run from the command line. This involves tweaking the setup.py a bit. Here is a good example of such a script:

Why does the README not look right on PyPI?

I use very standard markdown, which they say the support.
