About

InBrief is a personal briefing app and dashboard powered by Electron and React. In one screen, InBrief provides an overview of your top RSS feeds, Twitter lists, local weather, email unread and flagged status, todos, and schedule. This app is meant to be the homepage and daily starting place for its users.

Each widget on the app's screen draws its data via various APIs, and InBrief is designed to support future widgets and APIs as is necessary or desired. The current supported services/APIs are:

• ICS calendar feeds
• Microsoft Exchange Web Services calendars
• Microsoft Exchange Web Services email
• IMAP email (including GMail)
• RSS/Atom
• Todoist
• Asana
• Twitter
• Weather Underground

Installation

To install InBrief on your computer, head to the Releases section and download the appropriate file for your system. (Currently, there are only builds for Linux and Mac) Once running, there's a "plus" icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the window. Click that to add widgets. When a widget is added, click the edit button in its upper right-hand corner to configure it for your needs.

Better error reporting for login-based configurations

Right now, this fails silently.

Add support for other todo list APIs

Setup electron-updater

Twitter login window not properly closing on first login

Empty scrollbars on Linux when editing

Pull Twitter lists for logged-in user so that they can pick from a dropdown and also override the owner handle

Fire off refresh token on OAuth2 error

Connect to the service when adding

Buffer errors so that they don't keep popping up when network goes down

Add a reload option to the menubar

Adding new widgets should be better documented

Use icons for the move up/down buttons in lists

Sync settings across devices

Support for other themes/skins

Encoded HTML appearing in news

Email and tasks outputs should size to fit viewbox

Weather content exceeding viewbox

RSS doesn't load after extended use

When editing the element there should be "ok" as opposed to "save".

Login form is not entirely displayed when creating a new card

as above, the card does not resize to show the full login form.
