doesn't respond to "Alexa, ask my 3-D print server for my printer status"

sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, this needs a little more tweaking, but it's cool when it works. Also, this can use a choice of what status is said, most people usually want to know if the print is done or at what percent is it done.

Just ideas and suggestions.

Publish in Spain (Amazon.es)

Please, could you publish the plugin on Amazon.es so that we have access from Spain?

Can Alexa routines be created using info from OctoVox as triggers?

E.g. Announce on Echo when the print job is complete.

hotend and heated bed temp always the same

Alexa always reports both temperatuers, but always uses the hotend temp as the same as the heated bed one.
Using it in the german version.

Failed Authorization

Why do I get a Failed Authorization when I try to register with a web.de email address. Tried to change the password several times but still not working.Printer name into the plugin was "my little printer". Do have to change it into one word??? Also tried in the plugin a printer name "mylittleprinter". Login failed !!!

Shutdown Pi from Octovox

Is there a way of enabling a shutdown of the Pi via Alexa, so for example when a print finishes have Alexa shutdown the Pi then kill the power via a smart switch

Any chance you have been working on this more? Having the ability to have this trigger an action would be amazing. I'm trying to get the status of my heatbeds and then control my room heat. Say my heatbed is on at 60 degrees then I want my thermostat to turn to a specific temperature to help keep the room warm. And when the heatbed turns off I want my thermostat to turn off.

Alexa-app do not find a skill octoVox

...I think the reason is that my Alexa is configured in german, so at the end it is the same issue; You need to build a multilingual Version to make this Plugin usable.

Feature Request: Display Status on Echo Show

Looking for a way to display the status on echo show. I currently have an lcd on my pi with octoscreen. That format would be great to display on the echo show, so that I can see the status from another room without needing to listen to the whole status.

Skill cannot be enabled

Hi, I have been trying to enable the skill on Amazon for the past week or so and unfortunately it hasn't worked yet.
I get asked to enter the username and password and then I get the page attached saying that it is not possible at this time.
Am I doing anything wrong?

Can you add camera support

Using , instead of . in german version

In germany we normally use , instead of . like 56,1°C and not 56.1°C.
So Alexa tells you not 56,1°C but 56th 1°C.

This is probably a german thing (as always :D) but it would be cool if there is a solution.

Hi, impossible for me to instal your skill in my alexa i'm belgian and i don't have acces to english skills and if i change store country my others skins previously installed don't work.
when did you think you do a french version? in 2021 you said you are working on it but it stiull in progress? ( sorry for my bad english i hope you understand)

Server down?

Well yesterday Octovox worked just fine. Today is say that Octopi has not updated it in 23+ hours. I checked my registration and it said that registration could not be found. I went to the registration web sit and all looked fine.

Based on all of the above, I suspect that your sever is down. Are you hosting it locally or using Amazon S3?

Octovox Alexa Skill not showing in search results

The 'Octovox' skill does not show up for me here in the UK when I search the Alexa Skills section in neither the iOS App nor the alexa.amazon.co.uk website.

I'm guessing perhaps it may be a country based restriction at this point? Do you need to enable the Skill to be accessible in more counteries or is it yet to be approved in the UK?

Cannot de-register a printer

I do not see a way to manually de-register a printer or to rename a printer that has already been registered.

This would be helpful as I first gave my printer a name that sounds really daft when Alexa says it out loud. I changed the name and went through registration again, but now I have two printers and Alexa reads the state of both printers when prompted.

Feature Request: Cast info screen and/or webcam to Chromecast

As the title says. I was in another room today and thought it would be great to just say "Hey Google, show me my 3D printer" and have status and the camera view on my TV while I'm working on something else. I did some searching and found your plugin which satisfies part of it. Is it possible to have Google Assistant cast a status page to a Chromecast with an embedded video stream?
Or for the Amazon Alexa users, something similar with a FireTV?

Email address used for login is case sensitive. I almost gave up when it denied me a couple times.

Missing Google Action

The google action seems to be missing or incomplete. I find it when searching on my phone, but clicking into it shows its blank. When searching on a computer, its found as a listing in the search, but clicking in I get a page saying it can't be found.

Is anyone else seeing this? Is this a google server issue, or something specific to this action?

Create non-english version of Alexa Skill

In order to expand to as many users as possible, the Alexa Skill needs to be available in multiple languages. Development plan is to standardize the resource strings for the Alexa responses and then enlist the community to help create accurate translations.

Cant setup google home

When i try to ask google to talk to my 3d printer server i only get video's as a result.
Does google home still work ?
