Api questions

Shouldnt https://github.com/jomweb/CakeImpersonate/blob/master/src/Controller/Component/ImpersonateComponent.php#L82
be called isImpersonated() as the docs also suggest?
isImpersonate() sounds like wrong English to me

and small typo: $userTable should be $usersTable as it is the matching version to UsersTable class (plural).

Relicense

As suggested by FriendsOfCake/awesome-cakephp#316 we should switch to the MIT license. CakePHP 4.x support

We should support CakePHP 4.x

Ability for Read Only Impersonate

I think it would be a handy feature to have the ability to Impersonate a user as read-only using Table callbacks. I'll work on a PR for this once #1 is merged.

AuthComponent is deprecated

This plugin is incompatible with projects that moved away from deprecated AuthComponent in favor of Authentication plugin
