pdsi's Introduction

About Me

I'm a climate researcher and data scientist at the University of Arizona. My research focuses on paleoclimate data assimilation. I'm the author and developer of DASH, a Matlab package for paleoclimate data assimilation workflow, as well as other climate-related projects. My interests also include teaching data science skills for researchers, and supporting open science. Check out my website for more details about my work.

Suggested Repositories

Here are some of my most popular repositories

  • DASH: A Matlab package for paleoclimate data assimilation workflow. You can find documentation on the DASH Website.

  • pdsi: A Matlab package to compute the Palmer Drought Severity Index for instrumental and/or climate model data.

  • Github-Tutorial-Workshop: Check out the workshop website for a tutorial designed to introduce scientists and researchers to Github.

  • scaleColorMap: A Matlab utility that scales colorbars when plotting divergent datasets.

pdsi's Issues

Don't require data to start in January

Need to decide how years are defined for Southern Hemisphere data.
Options:

  1. Year is the year of the starting month.
  2. Year is the year of the next immediate January.
