The Router Package

The Router package is used to register an application's routes and to route the request URI to a controller method.

Requirements

• PHP 7.0 or later

Installation

To install the package, you can simply run the following from the command line:

composer require joomla/router "~2.0"

router's Issues

Router::fetchController() does not follow ControllerInterface

The code instantiating the ControllerInterface object in Router::fetchController() does not follow the interface but is rather coded to use the AbstractController implementation. Either the code needs to follow the interface (so the class be instantiated then setInput() called to inject the Input object) or the Router hard-coupled to the AbstractController class.
