This repository contains all of Jotego's cores and related files ready for usage on MiSTer.

Jotego's arcade cores offer the most accurate arcade experience in modern hardware using FPGA technology.

You may download all of them at once as a zip through the following link. Once you have them, place them as-is in your properly initialised SD card, and everything should work out of the box.

The source code for these files is kept in independent repositories here.

Install all the files with Update All for MiSTer

Update All will, by default, install all these files directly from your MiSTer. To also install the premium betas, open the Setting Screen that you can access by pressing up during Update All's countdown, and activate the premium option under JTCORES menu.

Manual MiSTer Downloader Configuration

The Downloader tool can be configured for downloading all these files too. If you are not getting the files automatically, add manually this database to /media/fat/downloader.ini. Add these lines to the end of the file:

db_url = https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jotego/jtcores_mister/main/jtbindb.json.zip

By default it won't include premium betas. To also include the premium betas, add the following filter to it:

Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha (Japan 960805)

Not sure if it’s a glitch or not since I don’t have the original CPS2 game. When you finish a game and enter your name, you’re greeted with the « score ranking screen ». Icons are surrounded by 2 blocks in solid blue color (cf. attached screenshot).

Obsolete cores?

Some cores seem to be no longer used but are still in your folder :

Old RBF files with time stamp don't get deleted

It looks like many users are having problems because the updater grabs the new files but has kept some old jt*date.rbf files around. MiSTer tends to get those ones instead of the new ones.

@theypsilon, is it possible to make the updater remove all jt timestampped files from _Arcade/cores?

Mega Man The Power Battle (USA 951006)

Inputs are incorrect for this game. It’s a 3 buttons game but only 2 buttons can be mapped. Alternative versions of the game may need a fix too ;)

.mra files missing for Super Hang-On core

Hi Jotego,

It seems that in this "jtcores_mister" repo you included the Super Hang-On core 'jtshanon_20221104.rbf' but not the related .mra files.

Like:
