drosophila-dynamics's Introduction

Hey there, I'm Johannes! ๐Ÿ‘‹ I'm a product manager at @streamlit, where I'm responsible for Streamlit's open-source library (20k โญ๏ธ). My background is in physics, neuroscience, and machine learning. I tweet under @jrieke and you can find out more about me at www.jrieke.com

drosophila-dynamics's Issues

Raise f-I curve

@borismarin @pgleeson @cengique I created a fork of the drosophila model here to work on the model dynamics and investigation for my bachelor thesis. Will start with some of the points in the Google doc @borismarin and I created.

@cengique if you have any ideas what could be interesting to explore, feel free to add them in the doc or open an issue in this repo

Investigate delays

@cengique I read up a bit on the issue with delays and Kf/Shal you mentioned (mainly the findings in Choi 2004, Herrera-Valdez 2013, and I want to take a lookt at Schaefer 2010 and Ping 2011). Are there any more papers you would recommend? At this stage, I want to write a short summary about the issue and my findings for my thesis, but we could expand on it for a potential paper...

Make some nice plots of voltage traces

For example: a) silence at I=-5, b) silence or spiking depending on previous state at I=-2.2, c) large spikes at I=0, d) small spikes at I=40, e) oscillations without spikes at I=65

Should this fork go on a branch rather than being on master?

@jrieke : are you planning to eventually merge all you do here to my repo? If not, maybe you should go on your own branch so that you can still keep the master here in sync with my repo and we can share commits if we need to. Do you think this is good git workflow? If you think there's no benefit to it, I don't have a problem if you want to stay on master.

Find rheobase

caveats: find it for the silence-tonic and for the tonic-silence transitions; think about spike delays
