I have a though that “created” “sponsorship” event may be fired on every finished payment, even for recurring sponsorship. So we will track a new "created" event every month for each recurring sponsorship, without calculations of dates, verifying the status and updating the amount. Documentation doesn’t say much about that, so maybe someone already worked with that and knows for sure either that is true or false?

Its unclear but "A sponsor created a sponsorship for a sponsored account. This event occurs once the payment is successfully processed." makes me think that its about becoming a sponsor, like to track the list of active sponsors after the first payment was verified.
It doesn't sound like it will trigger every month

I asked about that on GitHub community, but the question is too specific.
I'll proceed assuming it doesn't do that, and then we will see the behaviour in a month.

FYI, GitHub Support:
Hi there Alex,
Thanks for getting in touch.
I checked with our engineering team, and recurring sponsorships should only fire a webhook as they are created (not each month).
I hope that helps to clarify, but please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thanks
