The purpose of this website is to keep the students in my first year cornerstone class up to date with what they do in class, as well as keep them connected with the various elements of the first year college experience. Feel free to report bugs here using issues or email me at [email protected]

Tools Used

• Twitter Bootstrap: The most popular HTML, CSS, and JavaScript framework for developing responsive, mobile first projects on the web.

• Tales Bootsrap Theme: Bootstrap theme overlay that was originally developed by HackerThemes and later heavily customized by Justice Adams (me).

• Google Analytics: Google Analytics provides APIs to collect, configure, and report on user-interactions with online content.

• WinLess: WinLess is a Windows GUI for LESS.js (Used to create CSS files simply using .less files).

• Waffle.io: Waffle is a project management tool for dev teams that uses GitHub data as the primary source of record.

• Python: Python is a programming language that lets you work more quickly and integrate your systems more effectively. (Simple programming language used to write scripts for generating HTML).

• GoDaddy: Domain purchasing company. Used to purchase and control www.cornerstone2k16.com

• GitHub Pages: File hosting service run by GitHub which allows anyone to host sites directly from a GitHub repository.

• Photoshop: The world’s best imaging and design app .Used to create images for site

go to twitter. see the twitter icon on the tab? how do they do that? find out and then do it...

Figure out HTML reusal

Getting a bit ridiculous with the reuse of Header and footer elements and what not. Figure out how to do the same as inflating XML, but with HTML, ya dig?

Add photoshop to tools used on readme

Align middle not working

Align middle HTML doesn't appear to be reflected across all browsers?

Write script for updating events page

Write script via python for updating the events page each week such that it wipes the content and updates it.

Create index based main pages for older post

Create index based main pages for older post. (testing feature) Will probably require new html bucket

Create python script for creating blog post

Need a script to enter info and have it automatically build html page. Also link it if possible within the script. Probably use python ?

Find out why google analytics is reporting for a page titled "/"

Google analytics right now is reporting this when sorting by pages under site content

Fix divider issue

somehow dividers got axed on the main page. See previous commits​.

Create script for creating entirely new index when needed.

Low priority. Create post for updating with new main page and then shifting the rows of post whenever a new one is created

Stop the fire

The site has gone bananas. Is it parsing the HTML correctly? Find out what's happening

Ideally the search bar would sort by tags as well as find any post using title(s). It doesn't work right now

See the 10/24 recap. That method of having a bolded centered title is preferable when running the script.

Try to increase speed of static site via deferred​ content loading and caching systems

Update sidebar with office hours

A sidebar with both of mine and nicks office hours would be super dope. See google calendar for schedule. Nicks are MWF 11:00.

Figure out a static HTML testing suite

it would be nice to automatically run a test that somehow ensured every link works and what not. Almost like a jenkins run for android devices.
