Clearer project description

Hi there. This is just a suggestion and I hope it doesn't come across as impolite.

After reading your readme twice, I still have no idea what exactly a highlighter is or why I would want to use this package. A clearer/more detailed project description might help - maybe with images that help to visually explain the purpose behind the project. Consider adding a realistic use-case.

Really, answering the 'what' and 'why' for someone inexperienced with the terminology you are using would be helpful.

I'm opening this issue because I can see you are putting effort into building what is probably a very helpful project, but right now it's really hard to understand what it really does or where/why one might use it. It would be a shame to put in so much effort for a project that nobody else gets a chance to appreciate.

(I love django and htmx, so I want you to succeed with this!)
