jQuery already offers the $.ajax function which can parse JSON feeds and turn them in to objects which can be added to the event array your calendar instance is using with about three rules of additional code. I don't see a real benefit of implementing AJAX fetching in to the calendar. I prefer to keep the calendar as lightweight as possible :)
I'll close this issue now, but feel free to comment, with larger demand I will definitely have another look at it.
