nightowl-vs-theme's Issues

Update for Visual Studio 2022

This theme looks awesome but unfortunately no support for Visual Studio 2022 yet. Please update the theme for Visual Stduio 2022.

Thanks in advance.

Black cursor

The text input cursor is black

I have a feeling this may be related to #26

C++ not supported

The theme has minimal support for C++, most of the colors are totally different from Visual Studio Code.

Can this be fixed? I really like this theme but I did not manage to fix the colors myself, did it only by messing with Fonts and Colors in Visual Studio options and ended reverting the changes in the end.

Background and buttons of scrollbar in map-mode

Only the currently visible part of the scrollbar has a dark background. The remaining part of the scrollbar has a light Background. The buttons at top and bottom of the scrollbar are having a light background also.

Hard to see text is selected when editing XML

The selected text color when editing XML is noticeably darker than it is when editing other types of file such as C#, and it seems to have a thick border consisting of the normal, lighter selection color. It makes it difficult to pick out selected text at a glance:

Unreadable xml file

With your (great!) theme port, I can't read the AndroidManifest.xml in a Xamarin app developed in VS 2019.

It's possible to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

Base theme not found when opening solution in fresh VS Pro 2019 v 16.6.4

I was hoping to style a couple of ReSharper elements and - if they turned out any good - create a PR for you folks to take a look. Unfortunately, when I try to open the theme in the Designer, I can't proceed until I've selected a base theme:
image

Looking at the code, I can see the BaseGUID is 21aad376-802e-4d3f-9b99-3790e6ca7e9a, but that doesn't seem to conform to any theme I currently have installed.

If I'm missing something, I need to install something else or there's a workaround, perhaps I could update your ReadMe file.

Weird look of XAML structure guide lines

This theme is very nice but I am facing a problem.
Structure guide lines of C# code editor looks great like this:

While Structure guide lines in WPF XAML documents have a weird look!

Does any one know why? Or how to fix from the theme editor?

Thanks & regards

ReSharper support and additional controls

Hi @kai-oswald

I've been experimenting with a few more controls and wanted to gauge your interest in merging some of my changes. I haven't created a pull request yet because I'm doing it in a custom branch where I've added a couple of usability tweaks for myself that aren't really on-brand for the NightOwl theme. But if you're interested, I'll weed out my customisations and provide you with only the new "on-brand" controls I've styled.

Branch here:
https://github.com/DrThrillhouse/NightOwl-VS-Theme/tree/custom

You'll find everything uses correct NightOwl colors. Some of them have been chosen manually, but I've also written a quick and dirty console app/tool to map colors from the default VS Dark theme into NightOwl which I've found works surprisingly well! I haven't created a repo for the tool yet - most particularly because it is very ugly and manual in terms of settings! But it may help in styling future controls.

Anyway, see what you think
