backpackr's Issues

function use_template

A function use_template() copying pre-installed templates into new project.

Note that we may have 2 additional templates to main-script.R:

  • A template for automatically update electronic library
  • A template for uploading tracklogs and waypoints.

final-run

With credentials() moved to divDB, the new run for build_db() may be simplified.

Suggest the use of a block to be outcommented at build_db(), for instance:

# start-dontrun
setwd("path-to-project-location")
conn <- connect_db("test-db")
# end-dontrun

loop-n-tempdb

Setting a temporary database to run query loops is currently not implemented. This may implicated updates (thus tests) in following functions:

  • build_db()
  • query_loop()

postgres version

Collect postgres version and dependencies of the connected database by init_project()

function init_project

The function init_project() will start a new project and copy templates in the working directory.

function do_release

A function do_release() will pack the project in tar.gz and store it in a determined folder.

function run query

A function able to restore databases in a temporary db and run queries and collect the outcomes across versions.

remarks-in-backups-df

The function sort_releases() may be able to read the remarks section in the yaml description.

display-backups

A function showing an interactive table (shiny app?) with the sorted list of backups and their remarks.
