Validation of links

Implements RCurl::url.exists() to validate links.

Transform gisrepos to list and text

For an easy conversion to text or to HTML, I will design a function gr2list() to re-arrange the information accordingly.

The resulting list can be of class c("list", "gisrepos"), thus an S3 object. This list will contain in each element a repository, were each metadata entry will be a character vector (title, description, keywords, links). The access to each entry will be done by ID, transformed to character value.

A second function gr2text() may produce a character vector for fast filtering by topic.

These functions can be called in the final shiny app.

Next steps in S4

After the definition of an S4-class some of the following aspects may be implemented:

• A print method for gisrepos objects
• All functions and examples have to be set to gisrepos class
• Write first version of Postgres database
• Only data source will be than the Postgres database
• Set HTML outputs to shiny
• Design multiple outputs (data frames, PDF-files via r-markdown)

Set an ID for repositories

The gisrepos object may contain an ID to allow updates in subsets by comparing with on-line database.
