Ball insta-clears the first brick

Upon starting a new game, the collisions are counted as originating from UP, when they should be considered up.

As of right now, it should be showing from "DOWN" instead (as the collision is at the bottom), but obviously something's wrong with the detection.

The ball sometimes gets out of bounds

The ball sometimes gets out of bounds in the Y-axis, but has also happened X-wise too. The expected behavior is that it should bounce back, however it seems as if it's zig-zaging prior to getting to the Y=0, it just skips it and ends up in space.

Misc

The application sometimes f/c's upon restoring it (from the background).
