BiplanarMapping

screenshot screenshot

This repository contains a Unity Shader Graph implementation of biplanar mapping that is originally developed by Inigo Quilez.

System Requirements

  • Unity 2019.4
  • HDRP or URP

Although the sample project in this repository uses HDRP, the biplanar shader supports both HDRP and URP.

How To Install

This package uses the scoped registry feature to resolve package dependencies. Please add the following sections to the manifest file (Packages/manifest.json).

To the scopedRegistries section:

{
  "name": "Keijiro",
  "url": "https://registry.npmjs.com",
  "scopes": [ "jp.keijiro" ]
}

To the dependencies section:

"jp.keijiro.biplanar-shader": "1.0.0"

After changes, the manifest file should look like below:

{
  "scopedRegistries": [
    {
      "name": "Keijiro",
      "url": "https://registry.npmjs.com",
      "scopes": [ "jp.keijiro" ]
    }
  ],
  "dependencies": {
    "jp.keijiro.biplanar-shader": "1.0.0",
    ...

JSON Parse error preventing me from importing subgraphs into my own project

Hi,

This project looks great! I've been having trouble finding a way to use the subgraphs in my own project, though. When I import them, I get the following errors:
Capture
The "Biplanar Import Settings" pane in the Inspector is greyed out when I select them, and I get a similar error when I try to import the .shadergraph file from the demo project.

Do you have any idea what might be causing this? I'm on Unity 2019.4.15f1 and URP 7.5.1.

Thank you!

HDRP 10

Thanks!

For some reason, in HDRP 10 you need to add those includes:

#include "Packages/com.unity.render-pipelines.core/ShaderLibrary/Common.hlsl"
#include "Packages/com.unity.render-pipelines.core/ShaderLibrary/SpaceTransforms.hlsl"
#include "Packages/com.unity.render-pipelines.core/ShaderLibrary/Packing.hlsl"
