Oversight: player enters out of bound coordinates

Problem:

It is currently possible for a player to place their piece outside of the bounds of the grid and thus overwrite memory. This can cause graphical errors or other more subtle bugs.

Solution:

During coordinate input, check to see that the numeric values are within the grid dimensions.

Oversight: overwrite opponent's playing piece

Problem:

It is currently possible for a player to overwrite an opponent's playing piece with their own. A player may also overwrite their own piece (and thus waste a turn).

Solution:

Upon coordinate(s) being entered (row col), check that the target grid location is empty/valid.

Oversight: player enters non-numeric or empty input

Problem:

It is currently possible for a player to enter a non-numeric character (i.e. letters, symbols, blank). This results in unintended consequences such as a wrong menu choice or overwritten memory.

Solution:

Upon user input verify the entered character(s) are valid. If not, report an invalid entry and request new input.
