APK files cannot be moved, deleted, or renamed because according to Windows, they are "open in Explorer." OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Version: 0.1.5676.26162

Icon generating issue for Framework files.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Here is my situation. I copied some system apps & framework apps to my PC. Most 
apps are able to generate thumbnail but some won't cause these apps don't have 
a icon in it. Now I am unable to DELETE these apps from the system too. I think 
you need to add a generic app icon, so that if the system doesn't find any icon 
file in the Apk the generic icon needs to be displayed.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am using apkshellext 2.3 in Windows 8.1 x64.

Multiple aatp.exe process

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have the Rom Toolbox apk at the folder
2. Open It, a aatp.exe process is created
3. Close the explorer and redo the steps, and new, and new, and a new aatp.exe 
will be created.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The apk have not icon, and a lot of aatp process opened using resourcers

It would be cool to do that.

Thumbnail not working

1.Install Bluestacks/Set a program to open apk by default
2.even reinstalling the handler won't work
3.it shows tooltip but no thumbnail

Problem with other software

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Installed apkshellext successfully and working.
2. When I'm using other program that handle file types and registry such as, 
filetypemanager, Window7 context Manager and some other similar program, it 
show exception and can't load file types icon correctly.( I'm almost pretty 
sure apkshellext is the cause because after unregister apkshellext.dll 
everythings goes back normal.)
3. I thought (i'm not expert) there is some issue with icon, as in 
filetypemanager program I can finally load successfully after disabling "Don't 
Load ICons" Option Enable.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm on window7.

Known issue: uninstall.bat shows error message

Currently uninstall.bat will raise error message, AFAIK, it's ok if you just want to install newer version. run install.bat directly. it will try to remove historical information in registry as much as possible.

Will fix this later.

Can't work in my Win7Sp1/64bit

Can't work in my Win7Sp1/64bit. Maybe cause of 7zip in your conflict list? And it still not works after I installed the .net framework 4.6.
It doesn't make sense, for the old version 2,3,5000,10854 runs perfect before I installed the latest release v0.1.5961.26220 @ Apr.27.2016.

Now I have to change back to the original version 2,3,5000,10854 which works. So sad. Can you help?

Icon of mobile go mask the icons of apps

using latest version 2.3 
icons work correctly but after installing wondershare mobile go app for pc the 
icon of app on apks on computer mask the icons of apks and the icons do not 
return to normal except if i uninstall wondershare mobile go app from pc is 
their a fix in next version or so ???

Cant delete some system applications

What steps will reproduce the problem?
In some system applications which have not any Icon windows ecplorer locks and 
I cant delete or rename those applications anymore..some times I must restart 
windows or use Unlocker to unlock windows explorer
At this kond of applications I dont see any spesial Icon..Just a green one(I 
think its bc of having no Icon)

Installing on Windows 10 without Admin cmd window results in endless popups

Hi,

I just downloaded the latest version and tried to run install.bat from a non-admin cmd shell. It just keeps endlessly popping up new cmd windows and never actually requesting the admin permission (I have UAC turned off).

Cannot download apk on Filefox

I download apk file on Firefox
Cannot download to finish
And cannot delete apk file, because file in use

when running reg_64.bat i get an error from RegAsm

1. Copied the dll to System32
2. I run reg_64.bat
3. Give me this error:

APK icon doesn't show in Properties randomly

Hi,

Is it possible to make the APK icon also show in Properties, which is I think the same value Total Commander uses as well? Right now it only seems to show up in Explorer.

ENH: Support moborobo and subicon

Would be incredibly helpful if moborobo was supported as the default app 
handler and APKShellExt showed its icon as a sub icon in the corner of 
thumbnails (or any icon differentiating APK files AS APK files).

Moborobo seems to have the most potential as a one stop shop for mobile 
application handling.

The only thing i haven't seen yet in MR is Wifi connections for iOS devices 
(which was removed from a previous experimental version).

If they re-ad this feature i would consider them as the default sub handler if 
it is installed on the users machine.

TO BE OBJECTIVE:

XilaSoft and DroidExplorer are also helpful in these respects but do not do 
cross platform ext handling.

Installation is good, but still not showing icons for apk files.

As the discussion at the lower part of #41, there is an issue if you installed other apk tool, the icon handler may not registered correctly. I'm trying to figure this out, but meanwhile, I would like to maintain a list of conflict software.

Temporary solution:

I assume you understand what I'm saying and what you are doing!!

1. Uninstall them is the most straight forward way, but they may left registry setting in system registry. You may delete HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.apk key, (before that, do a full backup), try install.bat again.
   2.There is another way, can keep the other software working, but not guarantee works for all situation.
   Firstly find the Default key value of HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.apk, say it's someapp
   goto key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\someapp, create following key
   [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\someapp\shellex]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\someapp\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers]

Request: please show more info when hovering, or at least allow to use original hovering info

Previous one showed file size, but now it doesn't show it.
There are other stuff that were shown too, but this one is what I look at usually.

Multiple updater bugs

• The updater marks it is on the latest version when offline.
• The updates checks during an infinite time when online and the program is up-to-date.

Except that, it works well.
