Hi,
on macosx 10.5 and 10.6, with python 2.6.1, when locale is set to fr_FR.UTF-8, pronterface shows up in french but won't enable the grayed-out controls after connecting to the machine. When launched with LANG=C, everything works as expected.
Thanks,
Charles

Hello,
I've heard of this problem with the French translation. Does it emit any
errors on the console?

No error message related to locales. However, I found out that :
LANG=fr_FR.UTF8 ./pronterface.py
yields an "wx not found".
So I have to write:
LANG=fr_FR.UTF8 python pronterface.py
(yes, "python" is the default python)
Writing LANG=C ./pronterface.py
works plain and simple.
It's on a fresh osx 10.6 install. It has 3 python binaries (two 2.6 and
one 2.5).
The problem seems related to python on osx rather that to pronterface
itself. We had the same behavior on osx 10.5.
I suggest to update the documentation to help osx users with that
problem.

Can you please try the current experimental branch? Also, there is a new Mac binary, can you try that as well?

Any news on this problem ? If not I'll close it within a few days.
