The big show stopper for the moment is - input support. We simply don't
have a keyboard implementation right now. But I guess that as soon as we
have, note-taking is on the agenda.

I see, do you see highlights might be a prior step, which is more useful than notes taking I suppose.

Yes, now I'm working on highlighting text in scanned/reflowed PDF pages and saving the highlighted text via OCR or directly as images that could later be imported to other OCR software by users.
