Blockage

Right now the zombies sorta block the player when they get around him.

Maybe a knockback mechanic once the two collide could be a possible solution.

Commenting

  • Comment render() method as well as other parts of the code.

Slimes

Add animation to enemies

Tiles

Render basic tilemap

On-hit

When the bullet hits the enemy, play a small "Explosion" effect at the position of impact.
-Additionally make the enemy "flash" to indicate the hit

Restart

  • Implement ability to restart once dead (Through a button or otherwise)

UI

Add a basic ui that showcases which gun is currently selected

UI/HealthBar

Right now I have a really barbaric way of setting up a health bar.
I Will have to make it stick to the screen somehow and look better

Merging zombies

Will have to add some collision to the zombies as well so that they don't merge into one.

(Although that sounds kinda cool)

Structures

-Finally add the structures as well as their sprites

Fire rate

  • Increase the fire rate of the pistol.

Steps

-Every few steps, add a "smoke" effect under the player's feet

Framework Switch

Will be Switching to a different build framework soon (libgdx)

Sky

Add "skybox"

Player sprite position

There is an offset when it comes to the player sprite position, and where the sprite is actually being rendered.

Need to find a way to close the offset

Player direction

I've tried implementing mouse controls for where the player is looking.
However, looks like the angle that I calculated is off.
Need to find a way to make those angles accurate when it comes to the mouse position vector.

1 Zombie

Hey i now realised that in my last commit i changed the zombie swarm to 1. Change it to its original value and close this issue ๐Ÿ˜…

FOV

-Make FOV polygon slightly transparent

Different sprites

When the player looks around render different sprites depending on angle

Lighting

  • Simple texture lighting on the map

HealthBar

Add and render a health bar to the game.

Dash

make dash shorter

Bullet velocity

Right now the bullets are kind of slow... got to make them faster

Blurry sprites

Adjust render resolution to prevent sprites from becoming blurry
