Plans to develop and open source e-commerce API.

Technology Stack (Might make it flexible)

• Flask
• MongoDB
• Google Cloud Storage

Setup

1. Clone this repository

git clone "https://github.com/ktzy0305/KT-Home.git"

2. Install all dependencies / packages

pip install -r requirements.txt

3. Set environment variables for flask

Unix based systems (Linux / MacOS)

export FLASK_APP=routes.py
export FLASK_ENV=development

Windows based systems

set FLASK_APP=routes.py
set FLASK_ENV=development

4. Start the application

flask run

Display best selling products on the home page

Find out the best selling products and display them out on the home page

Suggestion to display all products when search query is empty

When search query is empty, the page shows no products found which is not user friendly

Filters when searching for products

Filter by price, brand, etc...

Password Recovery

When a user forgets their password, they should be able to reset their password with a link sent to their email

Category Image Container Height Inconsistent

Although not all categories have images yet, category names with two words are taller in height than the rest with one word.

Terms of Service page

Create a terms of service page for users to view the terms and conditions of using the e-commerce platform and our data usage

Custom Error 404 Page Not Found

Create a page to redirect users back to home page if the user somehow navigates to a non-existent page and results in "404 Page Not Found"

Ability to change email in profile

Incomplete feature in profile page, user unable to change email

The SKU / Product Specification Update

Ability to add custom defined specifications to each product on the admin end.

Display Featured Products On Home Page

Add a "feature product on home page" checkbox on the create product and edit product page on the admin end.

Ability to show discounted products

• Add discount checkbox
• Ability to input discount price
• Ability to add discount start date and discount end date

Suggestion: Display 6 products per row instead of current 4

For large Screens, display 6 products per row instead of current 4
