Get "Could not write XML test results for Scenario" when running Cucumber tests using Gradle 2.2.1 when Scenario name is greater than 260 characters

I am using gradle in my build and cucumber for tests and I cannot build because my tests failed. Investigating a bit, I have found that the path of gradle report output is greater than windows support via native API - the file has the name of my scenario, which is a long text. It seems that Windows limits its size to 260 characters when it is done via API.
When I run Cucumber through Eclipse (no gradle here) I have no errors. I think Eclipse does not create the report files using the native API of windows.

The problem occurs in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008.

Are there any workarounds or another mapped issue to that?
