Archetype is a front-end toolkit designed with the principles of OOCSS and SMACSS for building responsive, mobile-first front-ends using a specific coding standardard.

Depreciated

Archetype-Compass is no longer supported. Project scaffolding for Archetype is now handled with Yeoman via the Archetype-Generator. Archetype can also be installed using Git. See the Archetype project for further details.

Dependency Management

Dependency management has become an issue. Git submodule method works for archetype-utilities, but archetype core now has a different file structure which makes using a git submodule within the project directory impossible.

Two ideas:

1. explore git sub-tree
2. write a shell script to git clone archetype core and remove the .git file

Add Semantic versioning and git tags

each version number bump should have a corresponding git tag and a message that explicitly identifies the version number for both dependencies.

Remove Susy as a dependency from .gemspec
