about peaks

@kwohlfahrt hi, I have saw your codes, which was very useful to me! But I'm puzzled for code:
here: peaks &= data == minimum_filter(data, size=(3,) * data.ndim)
I don't know the what the peaks really use for, so can you tell me what does it mean? Thx

Intuitive way of finding out the optimum size arguments

I have a 3D image with blobs in it. I tried the blob tool with various combinations of the size argument, but identifies only tiny dots inside those blobs, but not a blob as a whole. How can I understand what exactly the size argument amounts to?
