mu's Introduction

µ

a PHP micro URL router in only 140 bytes. (99 bytes in hardcore branch)

Scrutinizer Quality Score

Warning: This is a pure proof of concept of a tweet-sized URL router

DO NOT USE IT IN PRODUCTION!

class µ{static function __callStatic($n,$a){static$r;$n==@_?($_=@$r[getenv(REQUEST_METHOD).getenv(REQUEST_URI)])&&$_():$r[$n.$a[0]]=$a[1];}}

How to use

Step 1: Define routes callbacks

µ::GET('/',function(){
    echo 'What is your name?';
    echo '<form method=post><input type=text name=username><input type=submit></form>';
});
µ::POST('/',function(){
    echo 'Hello ',$_POST['username'],', how are you?';
});

Step 2: Run the app

µ::_();

Step 3: Breath.

mu's Issues

Remove 2 characters by not limiting trigger function to `_`, and 6 more removing `return`

Current version (138 characters):

class µ{static function __callStatic($n,$a){static$r;return$n=='_'?@$r[getenv(REQUEST_METHOD).getenv(REQUEST_URI)]():$r[$n.$a[0]]=$a[1];}}

Applying the changes (130 characters):

class µ{static function __callStatic($n,$a){static$r;$n[1]?$r[$n.$a[0]]=$a[1]:@$r[getenv(REQUEST_METHOD).getenv(REQUEST_URI)]();}}

Hardcore version (117 characters):

class µ{function __call($n,$a){static$r;$n[1]?$r[$n.$a[0]]=$a[1]:@$r[getenv(REQUEST_METHOD).getenv(REQUEST_URI)]();}}

How to send a GET request?

Eg

' ; }); µ::GET('/', function() { echo $_GET['username']; }); ?>

It is impossible to get a username.

What's wrong? Help me please.

You can remove notice errors using getenv()

class µ{function __callStatic($n,$a){static $r;return $n=='_'?@$r[getenv('REQUEST_METHOD')][getenv('REDIRECT_URL')]():$r[$n][$a[0]]=$a[1];}}

Still only 140 characters but now it won't throw errors on missing options and it won't complain about constants (REQUEST_METHOD) that are not defined.

Also, I would default to using REQUEST_URI since Nginx/Apache both use that.
