Spine should be rotated by 180° and sans serif font

Modern titles are typeset using sans serif fonts. Furthermore, most spines read from bottom to top. Therefore, I propose to rotate the spine by 180°, but keep the year and the logo at the bottom of the spine.

Keywords bei Sprachen-Mix

Overfull HBox in Chapters

Currently, LaTeX complains about an overfull hbox in chapters because of the position of the grey box. Is there a way to properly fix this?

A quick fix is, to temporarily set the hfuzz value to a little more than the length of the overfull hbox that the chapter produces, just before the chapter command:

\hfuzz=27.8pt

\chapter[Foundations and Related Work]{Foundations and\\Related Work}\label{chap2:Fundamentals}

\hfuzz=0.1pt

Evaluate subfiles package

The package subfiles seems to be an interesting approach to compile subfiles without any change. Just call pdflatex mychapter and subfiles takes care of package loading etc. This seems to be better than hand-crafted disabling of input files.
