Implement a function to get content by key and update about us and home page to use this function to display the content.

Name class in template between flash message and intro message

Both the flash message and the intro message are referred to as 'message' in the Twig template.

Admin should be able to edit About Us content

After editing content, user should be taken back to the previous page

After the admin user edits a content and saves, they should go back to the page they were on previously instead of always begin taken back to the home page.

Display a message when user tries to use an invalid confirmation code

When a user goes to confirm their registration was an invalid code, they are currently presented with a blank page. But, they should rather be given a message.

Add a field to users table requiring them to change password

There should be a field in the database table requiring them to change their password at the next login.

Show active projects on home page

Pass in email subject to sendmail function

Currently, the subject line is hard-coded in the sendmail as "Test mail". The function should be updated to take a subject line as an argument.

Confirmation codes should expire after a time limit.

Right now confirmation codes do not expire. But they should only be available for a limited amount of time, then expire.

Check for filetype of uploaded users list before trying to import

I should make sure that the file is a CSV file before moving on to do the import.

Clicking on logo in navbar tries to go to http://localhost:8000

About us page

The content of the about us page should be stored in the database.

Implement function to test if user is admin

Admin should be able to add a news section

Cronjob should not try to connect to mysql if database server is down

If MariaDB/MySQL is down, there is no need to try to connect, as this fills up the user's inbox with emails about failing to connect.

Error in devserver script if public/.htaccess does not exist

Possibly just make copy of public/.htaccess.in along with a warning message to edit the file.

Don't install a crontab if it has already been installed

The insall_crontab script should ensure that the cronjob(s) for alumni have not already been installed before doing so.

Show message after registration

When the user finishes their registration, they are presented with a blank page. But instead a message telling the user that they will receive an email with a confirmation link should be displayed.

Home menu item is redundant

The Home item in the menu will always point to the same place as the logo. So, there is no point in keeping them both.

Remove subtitles on login and registration forms

Editing About Us instead updates Home page intro message

As admin user, go to about us and click on "Edit". This will allow editing this content. However, when then content is saved, it is rather the home page intro message that has been changed.

Improve look of flash messages

The flash messages should have a bit of margin around them. They should also be reduced somewhat in height.
