Timestamp and IP address appear at the top of the page

I can't figure out what I did to make this happen, but every time I run shotgun, the timestamp and IP address are printed between Logout and the Welcome message on the users/home page.

Fails to log in with an incorrect password

the code along isn't correct.

it leaves out the if statement to check if the password is correct.

NoMethodError: undefined method `needs_migration?' for ActiveRecord::Migrator:Class

This error is thrown immediately upon cloning and running learn due to the code in spec/spec_helper.rb line 8 and config.ru line 6. Students were able to move on after commenting out those methods, but the program would no longer throw a meaningful error if the migrations weren't run...

log out test passes w/o clearing session.id

The tests all pass before one clears the session in the '/sessions/logout' action. It looks like the test is just making sure that the redirect happens, which it is set up to do before students change any code there.

Instructions don't match lab

There are a few instructions that are off from what actually needs to be done to complete the lab, such as the lab claims the first few test can be passed by running rake db:migrate but there is no migration file in the lab. The migration has to be created manually with rake.

needs_migration? no_method error

Change config.ru to the following:

if ActiveRecord::Migrator.needs_migration?
raise 'Migrations are pending. Run rake db:migrate to resolve the issue.'
end

run ApplicationController

application_controller.rb has no solution code

A couple of issues with this lab:

1. Although this lab is a code along, there was an issue with the solution code for application_controller.rb missing.

2. At the step where you insert 'puts params' in the post '/registrations' route, the code breaks and Sinatra throws an error, and trying to find the issue was only solved by copying over all the correct code for the login page, as well as the routes:

undefined method `name' for nil:NilClass
file: home.erb location: block in singleton class line: 1```

"ActiveRecord::StatementInvalid: Could not find table 'users'" thrown after users table is migrated and appears in schema

After writing and migrating the user table, the users table appears in the schema. After running the test, the test says it cannot find the users table across all tests.
