Install not working.

I'm trying to install this and forgive me if I'm doing it wrong.

I tried to install it from releases and when I opened cheetah there was just nothing being transcribed.
I have installed whisper just by downloading it and then doing "make" in terminal.
How do I do the "checkout" part from the readme to get cheetah to find whisper?

UI bug - Answers to coding questions appear out of frame

Hey,

Some of the answers i get when i press "Answer" appear out of frame, with a big blank space at the top (see picture for what i mean). In addition to there being a big blank space at the top of the output area, a good amount of the answer is cropped off despite maximizing the application to the entire area of my screen.

This seems to happen when i specify that the output should be code. Whenever the answer is a bullet point list, they appear on top as expected (see picture).

Earlier I assigned a chatgpt 3.5 key but now I want to assign the version 4 key.
I have modified the code so that it receives the new key but that value is still stored somewhere, I tried to download the repository again and execute it but it still does not work.

Won't build on MacOS 14

Answers take long to generate

Running: release 1.00, not built locally

Hi,

I have everything set up and transcribing speech to text seems to be working. I have been able to generate answers on some occasions, but i am having issues with this.

My main issue is that when i press "answer", the answers take very long to generate, and sometimes the answers are not generated at all. It seems that this might be a general issue, since it seems to take a while in the demo videos as well. I would say it is so slow that the app isn't really useable at this point.

Is there any setting i can change in order to speed up the time it take to generate an answer? Maybe i need to build the app locally?

Cheetah app not working on MacOS

Hi

I have downloaded the binary and trying to run the app but does not seem to be working.

I am not sure if there are additional steps which need to be followed for the non-build model.

• I have install blackhole.
• The app dialog box comes up.
• There are 2 options: Blackhole 2ch & Macbook Mic.
• No text being transcribed.
• On clicking "Answer", an error occurs - The operation couldn’t be completed. (Cheetah.AnalysisError error 0.)

What needs to be done to make it work?

Looks like the embed for the demo video is broken

Transcribed audio not showing

Thanks a lot for this repo!

I cloned the Cheetah repo, and cloned the whisper.cpp repo (both at the same level). I followed the instructions to download the ggml-model. I brew installed sdl2 and also installed blackhole, and when I run the Cheetah project, I am not able to see the transcribed text on the window.

When running the project for the first time, it couldn't find the model at this location ( '/Users//Library/Caches/org.phrack.Cheetah/ggml-medium.en.bin'), so I used the downloaded ggml-model which was inside whisper.cpp/models/ and put it in the above file location for Cheetah to be able to find the model.

What am I missing? Do I need to be in a meeting with someone to test this out? What should the source of the input be? Please clarify these! Thanks a lot!

I have already checkout the whisper at parent directory and have already downloaded the ggml model at the whisper directory. But I still have this download modal showing up. Clean build and rerun still show the same modal, Need some help, thanks.
