Sorry for the incredibly delayed response to this.
I've just fixed some ugly nulls I was passing around, and I believe it should fix this bug.
I know it's been a year, so I don't really expect a response, or that you'll have the code around to try running this still, but if by any chance you do... I'd certainly appreciate knowing if it's actually fixed.

I forgot to mention, I haven't done a release with this fix yet, so you'll need to build from master if you want to test it.

Unfortunately, I've been having some problems with the computer I usually use to work on this, and can't even get it to build. :( So I haven't done a release.

I got things building on a different computer and verified the things I wanted to check before doing a release. I've released 0.0.9, and it should be filtering through to maven central shortly.
