This would be similar to the API for creating a new event, but we would take the ID of an existing event and then update that with the new fields.

Current authentication method uses the CC password. We should allow people to register using a custom password. The workflow should be: user enters roll number -> we send an authentication code to the IITK email ID -> the user can use that code to set a password.
